Super Monkey Ball fans are getting an added bonus in the upcoming Banana Blitz remake, with none other than Sonic the Hedgehog being added as a playable character.

SEGA revealed the news on Twitter earlier today, with a brief gameplay trailer that shows the hedgehog in action. It looks like the collectable bananas usually found in the game are replaced with rings for Sonic too, which is a nice touch. Check it out:

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD arrives on Switch on 29 October, but you can access a demo via the Japanese eShop right now.
