Luigi and Waluigi To Square Off In Mario Kart Tour

Mario Kart Tour has had some interesting characters show up since it launched. Pauline of Super Mario Odyssey fame has made her debut, and Diddy Kong has made a long overdue return to the franchise too. Bizarrely though, Luigi was missing from the roster at launch.
Nintendo are rectifying that in the latest tour though, with the inclusion of his Haunted Mansion track from Mario Kart DS. Hilariously, the announcement tweet gave the reason for Luigi’s late arrival - he lost his keys.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 drops on Halloween next week of course, so it makes perfect sense that Nintendo are using his arrival in Mario Kart Tour as part of the marketing efforts. With that in mind, Nintendo also confirmed that King Boo is joining the race too
Unfortunately for Luigi, it’s not just his ghostly rival that’s following him to the grid. His lanky purple nemesis Waluigi is also firing up his engines. That’s right, he might not be able to get an invie to Smash, but Waluigi fans will at least have the chance to play as him in Mario Kart Tour.
His pinball circuit - also of Mario Kart DS fame - is also joining the roster of tracks for the new tour.
