Behind The Scenes Of Streets Of Rage 4
This article was originally written for TheNintendoVillage.com, a website I founded and ran from 2018 to 2021.
Dotemu, one of the three teams behind the upcoming Streets of Rage 4 have shared a new video over on their YouTube channel that features interviews with some of the guys working on the game.
The vid lasts around 7 minutes and sees interviews with Jordi Asensio (game designer) from Dotemu, and Cyrille Lagarigue and Beausoleil Samson-Guillemette (programmers) of Guard Crush Games. It’s a fascinating insight into the shared passion the team have for the Streets of Rage franchise.
The 25 year old beat ‘em up has a dedicated and passionate following, so there’s a lot of pressure to ensure Streets of Rage 4 lives up to that legacy. If this video is anything to go by though, the franchise is in safe hands. The reverence and love for the original games is clearly on show, particularly from Asensio, and it’s obvious that the attention to detail is second-to-none on the game.
We loved our hands-on with it earlier this year, and can’t wait for the full release in 2020.
You can check out the video below. Are you looking forward to this one? Let us know down in the comments.
