Nintendo dropped the news that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp would be following in the footsteps of Mario Kart Tour and adding a subscription service earlier this week. Now, just in time for the service’s release and the game’s two year anniversary, they’ve given us a new trailer to tell us what’s included.
There’s two plans on offer. The first is called the Happy Helper Plan and allows you to appoint any animal you’ve invited to your campsite as a camp caretaker. They’ll run errands for you whilst you’re logged off, and take part in scavenger hunts, fishing tourneys and gardening competitions. Craft times will also be reduced, and you’ll have access to the Pocket Camp Journal - a mini digital magazine that highlights upcoming furniture items and info about your favourite animals.
The service costs $2.99 / £2.99 a month, for which you’ll also receive 60 leaf tickets each month, but there’s a month’s free trial available at launch for you to check it out.
The second plan is called the Cookie & Depot plan. It gives you access to the cookie shop, where you can choose 5 cookies each month, including ones that are out of stock. You’ll also get extra storage to the tune of 5000 different items. This plan also includes the shorter crafting times and access to the journal.
The Cookie & Depot plan is more expensive, costing $7.99 / £2.99 a month. You can check out trailers for both subscription plans below for more info.
