Skellboy Delayed To January
This article was originally written for TheNintendoVillage.com, a website I founded and ran from 2018 to 2021.
Upcoming indie adventure Skellboy has been delayed from its original December release date. Initially scheduled to launch on 3 December, the game has been pushed back to January for a little extra polish.
There’s no specific new release date yet, but at least the new window is only another month down the line. By way of an apology, there’ll be a 10% launch discount when the game does arrive, which is nice!
Here’s the statement from the publisher:
“He everybody! We unfortunately haev some disappointing news for y’all today. Due to unforeseen complications, we had to delay the release of Skellboy. It will no longer release December 3rd but instead in January a month later than planned. We apologize for the short notice!
What I can assure you. however, is that the ame turned out incredible and we can’t wait for you to play through it yourself! To make up for the delay, we’ll be launching with a temporary 10% discount as well.
We have a couple of other relevant surprises lined up that I think you’ll be quite excited about as well.
Thank you all for your understanding and thank you to Nintendo for all the love they’ve shown us.
We really enjoyed our playthrough of the game at Gamescom earlier this year, so hopefully this minor delay will ensure it can meet our high expectations!
Are you looking forward to this one as much as we are? Let us know down in the comments.
