Luigi’s Mansion 3 has become the UK’s fastest selling Switch game this year, eclipsing the performance of Link’s Awakening and Super Mario Maker 2 as it entered at number two on the UK charts.

Pipped to the number one spot by the behemoth that is Call of Duty, the lanky green one’s latest adventure nevertheless performed very well - with physical sales representing a 140% increase on that of it’s 3DS predecessor.

Whether or not it can hold on to the accolade remains to be seen though, what with Pokémon Sword and Shield arriving later this month.

Elsewhere on the chart, Ring Fit Adventure has held steady at number seven, whilst Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to shift significant numbers, clocking in at four. It’s clearly the go to game for those picking up their first Switch.

There was a new entry for the Disney double-pack of Aladdin and The Lion King, arriving at number 12 with 48% of all sales coming from the Switch version of the game.
