Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Delayed

We’ve had a wealth of classic Final Fantasy games crop up on Switch over the last year or so, and many fans may have been hoping to kick off 2020 with the remastered version of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.

Unfortunately, the remake of the Gamecube era action-RPG has been delayed from its initial 23 January release date to a more nebulous ‘Summer 2020’.

Announcing the delay in a series of tweets on the Final Fantasy twitter account, Square Enix tells us the delay is to allow more time for the development team to make it the “best experience possible”.

Delays are never fun, especially when they come with a less solid release date, but if it results in a more polished experience we’re all for it.

Elsewhere in the thread it was also confirmed that players will be able to transfer their save data across the various platforms the game is releasing on, which should make continuing the co-operative adventure with friends much easier!

Did you play Crystal Chronicles back in the day? Are you excited for this remaster? Let us know down in the comments.
