You Can Play As Luigi In Super Mario Bros. 35

The original Super Mario Bros. let you play as Luigi if you were dabbling in a two-player game, but it turns out that Mario’s lankier brother is also available in the Switch’s battle royale offering.
Twitter user Combotron Robot has managed to unlock Luigi in the game that’s available to Nintendo Switch Online users. Here’s how you do it:
How To Play As Luigi In Super Mario Bros. 35
First off, you’ll need to clear every level. The best way to do this is to concentrate more on speed-running through the game, giving you access to more stages. You’ll occasionally revisit some, but the more you clear the better your chances of discovering a new one!
When starting up a match, hold down the L button. It’s unclear how long you need to hold it down for, so best keep it pressed until you enter the match. Here’s a video demonstrating:
If, during play, you also reach level 100, you’ll unlock a Luigi icon in the process - hinting that the second Mario brother is now available. It’s currently unclear whether this is a requirement though, we’ll be sure to update in future when we’re 100% certain!
