There’s no shortage of Mario games on Switch these days. Between Super Mario Odyssey, New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe and the plethora of levels on Super Mario Maker 2 there’s plenty of options to get your fix of the portly plumber.

Still, that hasn’t stopped people rushing to the eShop to get their mitts on the Super Mario 3D All Stars collection. The triple pack is now officially the biggest digital launch for a Mario game on Nintendo’s hybrid console.

According to SuperData, Super Mario 3D All Stars sold 1.8 million digital units last month, outperforming the first month digital sales of every other Switch release featuring Nintendo’s mascot.

Naturally, the fact that the collection is only available for a limited time will have contributed to the strong performance. Nintendo are apparently planning on removing the game from sale at the end of March next year, a move they’re repeating with the upcoming release of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light.
