Pikmin 3 Deluxe Fails To Meet Wii U Launch Sales In UK

There’s been a number of Wii U games that have made the move over to Switch over the past few years, the latest of which is Pikmin 3. However, the Deluxe version of the game hasn’t quite hit the same physical sales as it’s original version managed, at least in the UK.
GamesIndustry.biz reports that although Pikmin 3 Deluxe came in 7th in the UK sales charts, it sold 18.5% fewer copies than the Wii U original managed during its opening weekend back in 2013.
It should be noted though that that figure only pertains to physical sales, and given the growing prevalence of digital downloads, we perhaps shouldn’t write off Pikmin 3 Deluxe just yet. Much of the UK is still under lockdown restrictions too, with a full national lockdown in England poised to be introduced on Thursday.
Did you pick up a copy of Pikmin 3 Deluxe or did you just opt for a digital version? Let us know down in the comments!
