4 Player Co-op Coming To Streets Of Rage 4

Whilst we still don’t have a release date for Streets of Rage 4 yet, that hasn’t stopped developer Dotemu from periodically treating us to new information and reveals about the game, and this latest one is a doozy.

In a series first, up to four people will be able to play through the game simultaneously, kicking the stuffing out of waves of baddies in local co-op. Not only that, but if your friends tend to live more than a bike ride away, you can play two player co-op online for the first time too.

As well as the new multiplayer options, Dotemu also revealed the fifth and final playable character to make it into the game. Floyd Iraia is a slow but powerful addition to the game’s hero roster, taking his place alongside the returning Adam Hunter, his daughter Cherry Hunter, and fan favourites Axl and Blaze.

You can see the man in action, as well as the chaotic four player multiplayer, in the trailer below. Let us know what you think!
