Platinum revealed Project GG yesterday, the second reveal from their Platinum 4 website and what is apparently the third instalment in Hideki Kamiya’s ‘hero’ trilogy - following on from Viewtiful Joe and The Wonderful 101.

At the time, we didn’t get a look at anything in particular, but Platinum have now dropped an announcement trailer over on their YouTube channel and it ain’t half epic. It shows some sort of godzilla-esque monster terrorising a city, before a metallic hero steps in to fight the best. This aligns with the description of Project GG as a ‘huge hero’ game from yesterday’s announcement.

Kamiya took to Platinum’s website to offer a little more information about the game, confirming that Project GG is just a working title at the moment. He also talks about the reasoning behind Platinum moving into publishing their own games, with the developer keen to keep total control over their IP.
