The Outer Worlds Delayed Due To Coronavirus

Although we got our first look at the Switch version of The Outer Worlds yesterday with the release of some new screenshots, we’ve now learned that the game has had to be pushed back again due to the coronavirus.
Already delayed from last October when the game released on other platforms, publisher Private Division took to Twitter to inform us of the latest delay:
We certainly with the team at Virtuous all the best. As delays go, this is definitely one of the more understandable ones! There’s no new release date confirmed yet as you can see, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we have one.
The eagle-eyed of you may have spotted some good news in that series of tweets though, with the reveal that the game will now come on cartridge. It was previously reported that the physical version would merely be a code in a box, but it seems Virtuous have worked enough magic to make a cart release viable. Whether or not an additional download will be required remains to be seen, but still a positive development for you collectors out there!
