If you need a break from all that intense flower arranging and tree shaking on 20 March, you can put down Animal Crossing: New Horizons and kick back with a relaxing stroll through hell blowing demons to bits in Doom 64.

The classic shooter is arriving on Switch on 20 March too, and now US Gamer reports that the port will include a brand new chapter for players to enjoy. James Haley, senior developer on the project, told US Gamer:

“On our end, persistent players will have the opportunity to unlock a new chapter in the Doomguy's saga, taking place shortly after [Doom 64's] original campaign concludes. The Mother Demon you defeated in that outing had a sister, and since you've been messing up Hell non-stop, she tries to get rid of you by sending you away. If you can make your way back and take revenge, you’ll be rewarded with a bit of lore that fans of both series, new and classic, should enjoy.”

A brand new chapter and some additional lore sounds great to us! We’d recommend checking out the full interview too, as there’s some interesting info about the game’s history and various challenges on bringing it to modern consoles. Switch fans will also be pleased to hear that the game features optional motion controls if you want to fine-tune your aiming.
