We’re still a couple of days away from getting our paws on Animal Crossing: New Horizons but that hasn’t stopped Nintendo from dropping a patch for the game already.

Announced on Twitter, the patch will be available just ahead of the game’s release, dropping on 19 March. Players who have pre-loaded the game will see the patch downloaded automatically:

The Ver 1.1.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available ahead of launch, starting at 2am CET on 19/03. If you've preloaded the game from #eShop, the update should start downloading automatically. #ACNH

We don’t actually have any patch notes as yet, so what the update entails is anyone’s guess. The most likely thing is the activation of the online services ready for launch, as well as potentially the first event update ready for Bunny Day.

Either way there’s not much longer to wait now!
