Nintendo Among Initial Attendees For Gamescom

The coronavirus outbreak may have led GDC to be cancelled, and E3 organisers are still monitoring the situation as they prepare for the conference in June, but it hasn’t stopped Gamescom from announcing the first batch of this year’s exhibitors.

Taking to Twitter to reveal the initial run of attendees, they’ve confirmed that Nintendo will be making an appearance alongside Microsoft, though interestingly PlayStation - who are skipping E3 for the second year running this year - aren’t in the initial announcement.

Alongside the Big N are a number of third party publishers including EA, CD Projekt RED, SEGA, Capcom and Ubisoft. Check out the full list in the tweet:

Obviously with the virus shutting down events all over the world right now, it could well have a negative impact on Gamescom too, but it’s nice to see the organisers are hoping for the best and forging ahead for the time being. The event is due to be held in Cologne, Germany from 25 to 29 August. We’ll let you know if anything changes on that front!
