Rick May, the man behind the voice of Peppy Hare and Andross in Star Fox 64, has sadly passed away at the age of 79.

The long-time actor had suffered a stroke in February, and while recuperating in a nursing home, contracted COVID-19 and unfortunately died from the disease shortly afterwards in a Swedish hospital.

As well as uttering the iconic ‘do a barrel roll’ line, May also voiced The Soldier in Team Fortress 2, lending his voice to numerous other games including Age of Empires II and SOCOM II. He also appeared in a number of films over the years, and taught at the Rekindle School. Anyone wishing to send their condolences are encouraged to email them at rekindleschool@gmail.com.

Our condolences to Rick’s family and friends.
