We love a good indie success story here at Nintendo Village, and so the news that beautiful, watercolour platformer Gris has shifted more than 1 million copies across all platforms warms our hearts.

The game’s developer, Nomada Studios took to Twitter to share the news, thanking the team, their families and publisher Devolver Digital in the process:

No doubt the recent 50% discount as part of Nintendo’s Easter sale helped push them over the top, but we’d say the game is well worth the price of entry discounted or not.
