Super Mario Maker 2 is still a couple of months away from it’s first birthday, but Nintendo have announced the final major update for the game will be arriving tomorrow - 22 April.

The update in question includes a brand new World Mode, where you can construct a Super Mario World style overworld and build out an entire game consisting of 8 worlds and 40 courses. To complement that, the Koopalings have been added as an enemy type, so you can have plenty of boss battles as you progress too.

As well as that major addition there’s also been a host of new power-ups. The first one noted in the trailer below is the Super Mario Bros 2 mushroom, allowing Mario to ride on and pick up enemies to throw them.

The frog suit from Super Mario Bros. 3 also makes a return, along with a host of game-specific power-ups including Super Mario World’s Power Balloon and the Super Acorn from New Super Mario Bros. Five different wearables from Super Mario 3D World have also been added.

There’s also a handful of new items included in the update to round out the update. You can check out everything included in the video tweeted by Nintendo of America below. We can’t wait to see what everyone cooks up with the new World Builder!
