Clubhouse Games Will Have A Free Download Version For Multiplayer

Nintendo’s release schedule may have brightened up with the announcement of Paper Mario: The Origami King earlier this week, but there’s Clubhouse Games (as well as the imminent Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition) to keep us going in the meantime.
The 51 game collection arrives on 5 June, and there’s good news if you were thinking you’ll have to grab two copies to indulge in some multiplayer.
According to the game’s page on the UK Official Nintendo Store (as flagged by a user on reddit), there’ll be a free version of the software available for multiplayer shenanigans:
Free supplementary software will be available that allows players to connect in local multiplayer with someone who owns the full version of the game. Additional accessories, games and/or systems may be required for multiplayer mode, sold separately.
It’s the kind of thing we saw a fair bit of on the 3DS. It’s not the first time it’s cropped up on the Switch either, but it’s still nice to know we’ll be able to play with friends whether they’ve bought the game or not.
Is this one on your radar? Let us know down in the comments!
