Jump Rope Challenge Gets A Free Update

Jump Rope Challenge was a bit of a surprise drop a few weeks back. The free download was created by a few Nintendo developers at home during lockdown as a way to encourage people to get a bit more active whilst they’re stuck at home (and whilst it’s nigh on impossible to get a copy of Ring Fit Adventure).
Perhaps even more amazingly, the game has now received a free update adding a bunch of costumes for the bunny at the center of it all. They’re all based on popular Nintendo characters, including the Mario brothers, Link, Samus, Isabelle and the Inklings from Splatoon.
As you can see from the above tweet, the update also includes new backgrounds and the ability to ‘double under’ whilst you’re skipping.
The app will be leaving the eShop in September so make sure you grab it over the next couple of months if you haven’t already. It’s shaping up to be a weird yet fun little piece of Nintendo history in these crazy times we find ourselves in.
