Monster Hunter Stories 2 Could Be Getting Its Own amiibo Line

All eyes might be on Monster Hunter Rise right now, with that game out in around two months time, but there’s more Monster Hunter action due later in the year too, with Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin slated for the summer.
The first Monster Hunter Stories game on 3DS was lucky enough to be accompanied by a fairly substantial batch of amiibo, with three figures arriving with the game and another trio added later. If a listing over on Play Asia is to be believed, there’s another three lined up for the sequel.
A listing has popped up on the retailer for Heroine, Rathalos and Airou (the Japanese moniker for Felyne). You could scan in the amiibo to unlock special monsters in the first game, so we’d guess something similar would be the case here.
Of course, these haven’t been officially announced yet and with all Nintendo and Capcom’s promotional efforts focused on Rise right now, we wouldn’t expect any news within the next few weeks. Still, with Wings of Ruin pencilled in for a summer release, we might get a look at these new amiibo sooner rather than later.
Let us know down in the comments if you’d be hoping to add these to your collection too!
