One of the biggest surprises from Nintendo’s Direct today was the reveal of Mario Golf Super Rush.
The sports title is the first Mario Golf game since 2014’s Mario Golf World Tour on the 3DS. Nevertheless, it seems like a rather fun new addition to the series, with a host of different game modes available to players.
Here’s some spiel from Nintendo about what you can expect:
“In Mario Golf: Super Rush, enjoy golfing with familiar Mushroom Kingdom characters through a variety of lush, scenic courses. Mario Golf: Super Rush features several local and online multiplayer modes, including Speed Golf, which finds players teeing off at the same time and racing to the green.
The game also features a Story Mode, starring your Mii character as they interact with Mushroom Kingdom characters, compete in golf challenges, and earn experience points to power-up stats. You can even use motion controls by holding the Joy-Con controller as a golf club.”
The game is slated for release on 25 June, with pre-orders already available via the Nintendo Switch eShop. Check out the trailer from the Direct below, as well as a host of official screenshots directly from Nintendo.
Will you be teeing off when this one arrives on Switch? Let us know down in the comments!
