FIFA 20 Topples Link's Awakening From Top Of UK Sales Charts

It may be a mild surprise to some of our American readers, but FIFA is absolutely huge this side of the pond, and that reputation has yielded fruit once again as the latest entry - FIFA 20 - has topped the UK sales charts this week.
It knocked Link’s Awakening from the top spot, whil Dragon Quest XI: Tales of an Elusive Age just missed out on the top ten, debuting at number 11.
Interestingly, the Switch version of FIFA 20 accounted for just 1% of total sales. What’s depressing is that EA will likely chalk this poor performance up to Switch owners not being interested in FIFA games, rather than the fact the release this year is identical to FIFA 19 barring updated kits, squads and some new menu music.
That being the case, it will be interesting to see if we’ll get a FIFA game on Switch at all next year.
