Good Feel, the development studio behind Yoshi’s Crafted World, Yoshi’s Wooly World and Kirby’s Epic Yarn are releasing a brand new IP by the name of Monkey Barrels.

They’re self-publishing the game too, which is a top-down, twin-stick shooter that sees the titular primates taking down waves of crab-like enemies as they move through a post-apocalyptic landscape.

You had us at gun wielding chimps to be honest, but there’s no word on a Western release date as yet. It will be available via the Japanese eShop in less than a fortnight though, arriving on 7 November.

You can check out a couple of screens from the game below. We like the look of this one, and we’re always down for a twin-stick shooter. What do you reckon?
