Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition Arriving On Switch In 2020

Devil may Cry arrived on Switch back in June, with the second game following suit a little later on in September. Now, Capcom have announced plans for the third game to join them on Nintendo’s hybrid platform in the new year.

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition will be launching on Switch on 20 February. The prequel/sequel (the game is set before the first entry with players taking control of a much younger Dante) will also give fans the opportunity to play as Virgil, and will put them through their paces with the 9,999 floor Blood Palace survival mode.

The digital-only title will be available for $19.99 in the US. There’s no confirmation on UK pricing as yet, but as the first two games both cost $19.99 in the US too, we’d be surprised if Devil May Cry 3 doesn’t follow a similar trend here in the UK and match its predecessors £15.99 price point.

Japanese fans will be able to buy a physical version of the trilogy too. Well, sort of. The boxed bundle launching the same day as Devil May Cry 3 includes the first game on a cart, with download codes for the follow-ups included in the box.
