More No More Heroes III Details Revealed

Travis Touchdown will return in No More Heroes III, and we’re currently expecting the game sometime next year. Initially revealed at E3, the game’s creator Suda 51 has given an update on the game in a recent interview with Wccftech.
It’s apparently “about 35 to 40 percent complete”, and will see the franchise return to the over-world setup of the original game. Suda was keen to stress though that fans shouldn’t expect an Assassin’s Creed style open world:
“It will definitely be a bigger open world than the original No More Heroes, but you have to remember that we’re a middle-class studio in terms of size. It takes a lot of skills, wisdom, and resources to make an open-world game, so it won't be as big as something you see from huge companies like Ubisoft or Rockstar.”
They may be somewhat out of favour these days, but the series’ famed motion controls are back too, and Suda is keen to explore the unique features of the Switch:
“It will definitely have the motions you know from the series [the Beam Katana charge motion...you know the one...was done to illustrate], but the real challenge was figuring out how to best use the Switch hardware. There are some interesting new possibilities.”
Elsewhere, one of the bosses was described as a cross between ‘Thanos, Joker and Venom’, which frankly sounds equal parts awesome and terrifying.
We can apparently expect to see a new trailer either later this year or at the beginning of next. We’re big fans of the series here at Nintendo Village, so can’t wait to see what else No More Heroes III has in store.
Are you excited about this one? Let us know down in the comments.
