Nintendo picked up a few awards at the Game Awards last night, with a number of Switch titles awarded gongs.
Chief among them was Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which despite missing out on Game of the Year to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, still picked up Best Fighting Game ahead of Mortal Kombat XI and Dead or Alive 6. Sekiro also pipped Link’s Awakening to the Best Action/Adventure Game while Astral Chain lost out to Devil May Cry 5.
There was good news for Fire Emblem fans though, as Three Houses took home the Best Strategy game gong, while over in the Best Family Game category, Luigi’s Mansion 3 emerged victorious against four other Nintendo-published nominees.
Untitled Goose Game went home empty handed, a little surprisingly, but the beautiful Gris - which is available on Switch - won Games for Impact.
