Six More Games Coming To NES And SNES Online

Ever since the addition of SNES games to Nintendo Switch Online back in September, the monthly updates Nintendo had been rolling out since the launch of the service have stopped.

A few people had been hoping that Donkey Kong Country was going to show up in time for the game’s 25th anniversary last month, but alas, it was not to be.

Happily though, Nintendo are dropping six new games for the service in time for Christmas. Donkey Kong is still missing unfortunately, but we are getting Super Punch Out!!, Kirby Superstar, Breath of Fire II and perhaps most interestingly, Star Fox 2.

The Star Fox sequel had been previously unreleased after having been scrapped shortly before launch back in 1995, but saw the light of day for the first time with the release of the SNES Classic Mini a couple of years ago. Now even more people will get to play that little bit of history.

As well as the four additions to the SNES library, there’s a couple of new games for NES fans too, with Crystalis and Journey To Silius also joining the service.

You can see all of the above in the announcement trailer below. The games will be added to their respective apps on 12 December.

Any of these tickle your fancy? Let us know in the comments below.
