Mario Maker Monday - 15 September 2019

September 16, 2019 by Phil Myth in Features

This article is part of a series originally written for TheNintendoVillage.com, a website I founded and ran from 2018 to 2021.

We’re ramping up the difficulty a bit this week, with three stages that will really test your Mario skills.

Our own stage comes courtesy of Nintendo Nostalgia, so once you’ve managed to beat it, be sure to head over to their page and check out the show! We found a cool lava-based level in Course World for you this week too, and our submission comes from Whopper who’s provided us with a cool Yoshi-centric level.

We hope you enjoy playing through all of these, be sure to send us your course codes using the form below too!

Nintendo Village Stage

Stage Name: All Work. No Play.
Stage ID: M34-0TW-KHG

A real tough one from Ryan over at Nintendo Nostalgia this week. You’ll really need to stay sharp to avoid the spikes (see what I did there) and act quick to make it to where you need to be before the P block runs out.

It’s also important to read the room before you enter the doors. You’ve been warned!

Villager’s Choice

Stage Name: Dippin’ Lava Lifts
Stage ID: CQ6-CYD-9NF

Exploring Course World the other day, we came across this cool concept from a creator named Fluffy. You’ve basically got to move through a stage where the platforms are constantly moving in and out of lava.

It’s trickier to make it through than it sounds, and there’s an awesome Boom Boom boss battle waiting for you before the finish too. Definitely one to check out!

Community Stage

Stage Name: House of Spinal
Stage ID: 83T-17V-DWF

This was a fun Yoshi-based level to work through. The key, once you’ve found the green dino, is to use his insatiable appetite to launch the giant dry bones’ ammunition straight back at them!

Thanks for another great submission Whopper!
