New Pokémon Sword and Shield Info Dropping Tomorrow

We’re inching ever closer towards the release of the core Pokémon series’ first home console outing, and Nintendo is continuing its drip-feeding of new information.

Last week the official Pokémon Sword and Shield website had this glitched Pokémon sprite zipping around the homepage:

Clicking the sprite takes you to a page which details the Pokémon’s type - fighting - as well as a partially redacted description:

Only ▓ that have survived many battles can attain this ▓. When this Pokémon's ▓ ▓ers, it will retire from combat.

Now it seems Nintendo are set to reveal just who this little critter is.

Serebii are reporting that the big N will be dropping more information about the game, including the pixelated ‘mons identity, on 18 September at 10pm JST / 2pm BST / 9am EDT / 6am PDT.

There’s no confirmation about what form this news will come in. We could get a last minute Direct announcement at some point today, or we might just have to keep an eye out for another tweet. We’ll have to wait and see.
