Well, the wait is almost over. Nintendo have announced another 35 minute live stream with Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai in which the final DLC Fighter’s Pass character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be revealed.

The showcase will take place this coming Thursday 16 January, at 2pm UK time / 6am Pacific / 9am Eastern and will last for approximately 35 minutes.

The fighter in question will follow Persona 5’s Joker, Hero of Dragon Quest fame, Banjo-Kazooie and Fatal Fury'‘s Terry Bogard in completing the first batch of DLC for the game. However, as announced in September last year, more DLC is planned for the game once this Fighter’s Pass is complete.

As for who we can expect the fighter be, it’s anyone’s guess. However, last week, the official Devil May Cry Twitter account did tease more information across a number of dates, with 16 January one of those listed. This has led some to speculate that Dante from the series will be coming to Smash ahead of the launch of Devil May Cry 3 on Switch next month.

Still, whoever it is, following last week’s Pokémon Direct, it looks like Switch fans are going to have even news to get hyped about this week!

Who are you hoping to see join the roster? Let us know in the comments below!
