New Paper Mario and 2D Metroid Rumoured

We tend not to report on rumours too much here at Nintendo Village, but this one is just too juicy not to mention.
Serial leaker Sabi has taken to Twitter to announce that a new Paper Mario - one that goes ‘back to how it used to be’ - is slated for 2020, as is a new 2D Metroid. The latter is apparently a sequel to the classic GBA title Metroid Fusion.
Now, this being a rumour - and one that’s come out of absolutely nowhere - we’d suggest taking it with a giant mountain of salt. That said, Sabi does have a relatively decent track record with previous leaks, so much so that Nintendo slapped them with a cease and desist notice ahead of E3 last summer.
Needless to say, we would absolutely take a new Paper Mario in the classic style, and a follow up to the superb Metroid Fusion wouldn’t go amiss either!
What do you think of this one? Total click bait or one worth keeping an eye on? Let us know in the comments!
