Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair Getting A Free Demo

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair - the awesome follow up to Playtonic’s debut platformer Yooka-Laylee - is getting a free demo later this month.
Announcing the news on Twitter, Playtonic informs us that the demo will include ‘an assortment of vibrant and exciting 2D levels’, as well as a Pagie challenge, some tonics to play around with and even the Impossible Lair itself. That latter inclusion means the game is technically beatable in the demo, though you will miss out on all the other goodness it has to offer.
If you do want to give the demo a whirl, it’ll be available from 30 January. There’s no time limit on it, so you can run around as the lizard and bat as much as you like. If you then decide to purchase the full game, your save data will carry over too, which is always nice to hear.
We’d definitely recommend checking it out if you haven’t already. In our review we described it as ‘easily one of the best platformers on the market today’, scoring it 5 stars in the process. Let us know if you plan on dipping your toe into this Impossible Demo!
