The Switch is jam-packed with success stories, but unfortunately not every great game gets the success it deserves. It would appear that stunt racer FutureGrind falls into the latter category, according to a post by the developer on Reddit.

Taking to the forum to celebrate the game’s anniversary, MattRix - one of the guys behind the game - declared that since the game isn’t going to make much money anyway, they’d ‘rather have more people getting to play it’ and announced a heavy discount.

The usual $9.99 / £8.99 title is now available for just $1.50 / £1.34 - and it’s well worth that price. We gave it four stars in our review, praising the unique and addictive gameplay, alongside the stellar music and presentation.

MattRix was keen to state that the Switch version was the best performing one, even if the game as a whole didn’t meet expectations:

“It's also worth noting that Switch is by far our best selling platform (out of PC/PS4/Steam), though in absolute numbers it's still quite small compared to most games.”

Here’s hoping the discount helps get this great game in front of more people. Let us know if you decide to throw some spare gold coins at it down in the comments!
