Over A Third Of Devs Keen On Producing Switch Games

It’s long been established that the Switch is hot property, and a cursory glance at the eShop will tell you just how many developers are producing games for the system. As it turns out, over a third of developers are interested in creating experiences on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
The annual GDC survey of the industry has revealed that 37% of developers expressed an interest in making games for the Switch. For context, that’s only one percentage point fewer than the PS5, and a full 12% more than those who said they were keen to produce games for Microsoft’s upcoming next-gen Xbox.
17% of those developers also said that their current project is headed to Switch - outstripping those who said they’ve got things in the pipeline for either of the next gen systems - and 19% said their next project is planned for Nintendo’s system too.
As we head towards the release of those behemoths, it’s reassuring to know that there’s still plenty of developers who are intending to support the Switch in 2020 and beyond. Fingers crossed we’ll get a look at some of these games in a future Nintendo Direct! You can check out the full survey here.
Who do you hope is working on something for Switch? Let us know down in the comments.
