Hitman 3 And Control Both Coming To Switch Via Cloud Streaming

This article was originally written for TheNintendoVillage.com, a website I founded and ran from 2018 to 2021.

Alongside a flurry of other announcements, today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase also revealed that two games are coming to Switch via cloud streaming.

Hitman 3 and Control: Ultimate Edition will be available on the console via a special application that will allow you to stream the game over the internet. This will be free to download, and you’ll be able to try the games for a limited period before needing to purchase an access pass. Naturally, you’ll need a stable internet connection in order to play.

There was no release date or window given for Hitman 3 during the Direct, but Control: Ultimate Edition is out now. You can check out the trailers for both games below.

This is the first time that streamed games have come to Switch in the West, although Japanese Switch fans have been able to stream Resident Evil 7 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Let us know your thoughts on these games being cloud only down in the comments!
