You Can Now Connect Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME

Pokémon HOME launched all the way back in February, allowing players to transfer their captured ‘mons from Pokémon Sword and Shield and Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. However, Pokémon GO support hasn’t been available until now.

Happily players can now transfer the Pokémon they’ve captured in the (still wildly popular) mobile app into Pokémon HOME for posterity. Although there is a bit of a catch.

Transferring Pokémon from GO to HOME is currently only available to trainers who’ve hit level 40 within the Pokémon GO game. Transferring ‘mons will also use up ‘Transporter Energy’ - with shiny legendaries apparently using up every last drop of it - which refills over time. You can refill your Transporter Energy quicker using Pokécoins.

If you do transfer a critter across, you’ll receive a one-time Mystery Gift for a Dynamax-enabled Meltan:

Hopefully it won’t take too long for the transfer feature to be opened up to all trainers. In the meantime, let us know down in the comments if you’ve been waiting to transfer your Pokémon across!
