Square Enix have announced that The World Ends With You is getting a sequel next year, entitled NEO: The World Ends With You.

Revealed in a brand new trailer - which you can check out below - the game is a follow-up to the Nintendo DS RPG that launched back in 2007, before getting a ‘Final Remix’ release in 2018 on Switch. We lauded that re-release as the ‘definitive experience for newcomers and veterans alike’, awarding it 5 stars in our review. This new game will also be coming to Switch, as well as PS4.

There’s no hard and fast release date as yet, but it is slated for Summer 2021, so provided there’s no significant delays, you shouldn’t have too long to wait before you can experience the game for yourself.
