Super Nintendo World Japan Gets Official Opening Date

After being delayed from its original opening date earlier this year, Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan will finally be opening its doors on 4 February 2021.

When the park opens next year, fans will be able to take part in an AR Mario Kart ride, with a host of new pictures released showcasing the karts, headset, and trophy room at the end of the ride.

The ride takes place within Bowser’s Castle, alongside a huge life-size statue of King Koopa himself. There’s two tracks to the ride, with participants competing with the opposing set of cars as they steer “their way through the Mushroom Kingdom, throwing shells at Koopalings.”

As well as the Japanese park, a second Super Nintendo World attraction is due to open at Universal Studios Florida in the future. Check out the trailer below for some pretty spectacular glimpses of what’s in store!
