New Stretch Goal Added To Wonderful 101 Kickstarter

The Wonderful 101 Remastered Kickstarter continues to rumble on at pace, with the crowd-funded project already surpassing yet another stretch goal.

With the game hitting a cool $1.5m, Platinum Games will be adding a brand new 2D side-scrolling mission for fans to work their way through. Luka’s Adventure will see players taking on the role of Luka, one of Will Wegewood’s students at Blossom City Elementary School. For the uninitiated, Will Wedgewood is the identity of Wonder Red, the game’s lead superhero.

The next stretch goal is $1.75m, which will give backers a remixed soundtrack featuring an as-yet-unnamed special guest, but Platinum have now added another stretch goal to the list.

If funding reaches the $2 million mark, then Luka will get a second mission. The lad apparently hates the Wonderful 100 for some reason, though he naturally has no idea that his teacher is Wonder Red. It looks like these stretch goal missions could shape up to be a fun little spinoff.

Hideki Kamiya shared an early screen of Luka’s adventure in the latest update, though it comes with a disclaimer that it’s ‘not representative of the final product’, so it could well just be a concept image at this point.

Either way, check it out and let us know if you’re looking forward to the extra content down in the comments!
