In-Game Purchases Removed From New Horizons Page

You may recall, amongst all the other bits and pieces of Animal Crossing: New Horizons info that dripped out last week, that the official game page listed ‘in-game purchases’ alongside it’s ESRB rating. Well as it turns out, that’s now disappeared.

Yep, the official game page now solely lists ‘Comic Mischief’ as something for potential buyers to be aware of. Those worried about microtransactions can enjoy a sweet sigh of relief, though anyone hoping for DLC might feel a tad disappointed.

We were guessing that the reference was to cover the potential for the game to point you to sign up for a Nintendo Switch Online account if you try to access some of the game’s multiplayer or networking features, but that doesn’t seem to be the case either. Not that any of this precludes Nintendo announcing DLC or other paid content further down the line of course.
