Dead Cells Added To Switch Online Service In Japan

You may recall that last month, Japanese Switch Online subscribers were able to play the entirety of Fire Emblem Warriors last month for free, albeit for a limited time. This was the second time Nintendo had made such an offer, with Captain Toad’s Treasure Tracker the first game offered through the scheme.

Now indie hit Dead Cells is being made available too. The rogue like, which recently received it’s first DLC drop, will be available from 24 February to 1 March. Any fans who like what they play but don’t quite make it to the end of the game will be able to buy it for a reduced price afterwards. Save data will be carried over too.

There are workarounds if you want to get in on the fun, but you’ll have to make a Japanese account, and temporarily switch the region from your current main account that’s attached to a Switch Online subscription to Japan as well.

We really wish Nintendo would roll out these promotions in other regions so we didn’t have to get sneaky with it though!
