Switch Version Of Two Point Hospital The 'Most Requested'

Two Point Hospital is one of our most anticipated games here at Nintendo Village, not least because we grew up playing the spiritual predecessor Theme Hospital on PC back in the day. Ever since the game was first revealed we clamouring for a Switch version, and it seems we weren’t the only ones.

In an interview with Nintendo Life, Two Point Studios co-founder Gary Carr revealed how the Switch version of the game was the one everyone was asking about:

“Everybody from the moment we announced the game… wanted to see it on Switch, that’s been the most requested -’ please please please put it on Switch’ and we thought ‘how are we gonna do this? It’s gonna be probably quite challenging’ - but I’m really pleased with it. I love playing it undocked, we didn’t change much at all, we’ve actually added some additional features onto all three console versions.

I just hope that people really enjoy it on the Switch. I love playing it on Switch, I think it looks really sweet on the device.”

Indeed, it seems that Two Point have really worked hard to make a game originally built for keyboard and mouse, a smooth experience on console. Carr notes that they “completely redesigned the UI from the ground up”, and it certainly looked rather easy to navigate in a recent developer video.

The console version of the game arrives on 25 February and features all the DLC (which amounts to “about a third of the game again” according to Carr). The full interview is quite interesting, so we recommend giving it a watch below!
