The Animal Crossing: New Horizons info keeps on coming. During yesterday’s Direct, we were told that more villagers would be made available in the game via amiibo at a later date, but that doesn’t mean that the game is going to be short on animals to start with.

In fact, according to the official Japanese Twitter account, the game will feature 383 different villagers from the get-go. We’re assuming not all of them will be on your island at once of course, but that’s a pretty hefty roster of potential island-mates to choose from! It suggests there’s a whopping 50 new villagers joining too, with New Leaf featuring 333 different animals back on the 3DS.
