In the wake of E3’s cancellation due to the coronavirus, more and more companies are exploring other avenues to deliver their presentation. Nintendo have issued their statement, Microsoft and Ubisoft are exploring possibliities for a digital presentation, and both Devolver Digital and Limited Run Games have got something up their sleeves for E3 week too.
Square Enix are the latest to issue a statement - delivered on Twitter - addressing the cancellation and their plans going forward:
“Our 2020 lineup, and the next-generation that lies beyond, is stronger than ever for Square-Enix. Where E3 has always been an incredible moment in time to showcase our upcoming games, we#re exploring other option to share our games with you. More to come, stay tuned.”
As more companies firm up their plans for presentations around the time that E3 was due to take place, we’ll aim to keep you updated as to when and where you can view them.
In the meantime, let us know what you’d like to see from Square Enix down in the comments!
