Various events have fallen foul of the current coronavirus outbreak, but those scheduled for a little later in the year are still hoping things will have calmed down by then and they’ll be able to go ahead. Gamescom is still scheduled for August and now the organisers of EVO have said something similar.

Releasing a statement on Twitter, they’ve said they’re moving forward with plans for the event - due to be held from 31 July to 2 August - but are continuing to monitor the situation.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leads the charge on the Nintendo front in terms of the lineup, though Switch fans will also be familiar with Mortal Kombat XI and Dragon Ball FighterZ which are also included.
