The coronavirus pandemic may have scuppered the production of some films, but those that have been in theatres recently are seeing their digital releases brought forward. One such instance is the Sonic The Hedgehog movie, which will now be available to download from 31 March, with the Blu-ray version in stores from 19 May.

The film only released in cinemas in February, when it eclipsed Detective Pikachu to become the most successful videogame movie ever, taking in over $300m at the box office. We enjoyed it too, giving it four stars and praising the “fresh take while being respectful of the source material.”

Let us know what you thought of the film down in the comments, and whether or not you’ll be downloading it to watch whilst we’re all stuck indoors!
