Whilst the first major update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons dropped shortly before release, activating the online modes and prepping the game for Bunny Day, Nintendo have just dropped a much smaller update for the game.

The solitary patch note reads as follows:

Fixes a major issue impacting game balance.

As for which issue it was exactly we’re not 100%, but the prevailing wisdom is it removes an item duplication glitch that some players were exploiting in order to make tons of Bells. That would certainly have an impact on game balance, so it seems like a solid guess.
