After an initial delay, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition has a new release date. Initially slated for 23 January, the game was delayed to ‘Summer 2020’ towards the end of last year. That rather nebulous release window has now been firmed up as 27 August.

Nintendo of America announced the release date via Twitter, dropping a new trailer along with it:

The game is a remaster of the 2003 Gamecube title, featuring new dungeons, new voice-overs, online multiplayer and cross-play - with the game also launching on PS4 as well as Android and iOS devices. You’ll be able to play the same save file across multiple devices too.

There’s no official confirmation of a European release date as yet, but we’ll let you know when we have one!
